Well this has been a busy week. Let's start with Monday. Which was Lymphodema Clinic day. I had no qualms going in to the meeting. I was sure that the heavy feeling in my arm, and the pain and the slight swelling, was no way Lymphodema. It was just post-op swelling and the massive scar settling...

Thank you Warrior Prince.
He is confident he got it. All of it. The pathology confirmed it was all high grade DCIS. No IDC. And although the margin was only 2mm from the chest wall (which is very close!) he is confident it is all gone. So, apart from the hormonal therapy, no more treatment....
It's all good - I think???

My amazing, brave, wonderful, fiesty, funny friend Margaret passed away this morning. Like myself she had Breast Cancer. We went through chemo together. I am absolutely devastated to hear this news. It was all very, very sudden. We were hoping to spend some time down in Exeter and meet up later...

Well, another day. And another hospital visit. This is the last "pre" visit before the big day next week. First stop - more bloods for "cross-match" (in the event of a transfusion being necessary). Again the poor right arm is knackered. It surrenders before we begin. So it's a hand job again....
